Waiting on the Lord
Waiting on the Lord demands two key elements; a complete dependence on God and a willingness to allow Him to decide the terms including the timing of His plan. Trusting God with the timing of events is one of the hardest things to do. To wait on the Lord produces character in the life of a Christian, it involves patience ( James 1:4). Waiting involves the passage of time, which is a gift of God.
Isaiah 40:31, -"but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
Reality of Life
Life is about waiting and waiting well without complaining. Our attitude matters when we are waiting for something. Sometimes in life, we seem to be in a hurry, when God is not. God is more interested in who we become after the process of waiting than the gift that we will receive after waiting.
The pressures of everyday life can put us down, but Christ’s love and power are stronger than any obstacles we may encounter. With a renewed mind and right motivation, we can envision and realize our God-sized dreams.
The Lord desires that we blossom as we wait for his fullness of time. Waiting is not easy, but then again, we should not allow ourselves to miss out on the things that God has already blessed us with as we wait.
Are you waiting on God for something? I pray that you will have the patience to wait for the Lord’s appointed time. Be blessed.
